Is This Real? AI Photo & Scam Checker

Check if a photo was made or changed by AI, or if a message or link is a scam — free, with clear reasons.

Is this photo AI? Is this message a scam? Check it free

Is This Real? helps you check two things that fool millions of people every day. Upload a photo to look for signs it was made or changed by AI, or paste a WhatsApp message, SMS, email or link to check it for scam and fake-news warning signs.

How it works

  1. Photo check: the tool reads the hidden information inside the photo on your own phone — camera details, AI-generator tags and Content Credentials — then looks closely at the image for tell-tale AI mistakes like strange hands, garbled text and impossible shadows.
  2. Message check: paste the message or link. The tool shows where each link really goes, spots lookalike and shortened links, and explains any red flags such as urgency, prize fees or requests for codes.
  3. You get a clear, cautious answer with the clues behind it and what to do next.

Frequently asked questions

Can it prove a photo is real?

No tool can. Good AI images can look perfect, and apps like WhatsApp strip the hidden information from photos. Is This Real? shows you the evidence it finds and gives a careful verdict, so you can decide — and it suggests ways to check further, like a reverse image search.

Is it free?

Yes. It is completely free with no sign-up. Toolzees is supported by advertising.

What happens to what I upload?

The photo’s hidden information is read on your device. The photo (made smaller) or the message is then sent securely to our AI provider (Anthropic) for the check. Toolzees does not store it.

I already sent money to a scammer. What now?

Contact your bank or mobile-money provider immediately using the number on your card or their official app, and report the scam to the police.
